Online Submission

JPL: Jurnal Pengabdian Leuser uses an online submission and editorial management system to facilitate the efficient, transparent, and organized publication of manuscripts.

Authors are required to submit manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Submissions sent by email or other channels may not be processed unless specifically requested by the Editorial Office.

Submission Requirements

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript is relevant to the Focus and Scope of JPL: Jurnal Pengabdian Leuser.

  • The manuscript is original and has not been previously published.

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously submitted to another journal.

  • The manuscript follows the journal's Author Guidelines and manuscript template.

  • All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  • All sources and references are properly cited.

  • Any potential conflict of interest has been disclosed.

  • The manuscript complies with applicable research and community engagement ethical requirements.

  • Any use of third-party materials has been appropriately acknowledged and permitted where necessary.

  • The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism or inappropriate text similarity.

Submission Procedure

Authors should follow these steps:

1. Register or Log In

Authors must register for an account on the journal's OJS platform or log in using an existing account.

2. Start a New Submission

After logging in, select New Submission and follow the instructions provided by the OJS system.

3. Complete the Submission Checklist

Authors must confirm that the manuscript meets the journal's submission requirements and publication policies.

4. Enter Manuscript Metadata

Authors should provide complete and accurate metadata, including:

  • Manuscript title;

  • Author names;

  • Author affiliations;

  • Email addresses;

  • ORCID iDs, where available;

  • Abstract;

  • Keywords;

  • Funding information, where applicable;

  • Conflict of interest statement; and

  • Other information requested by the journal.

All author information should be entered accurately because the metadata may be used for indexing and citation purposes.

5. Upload the Manuscript

Authors should upload the manuscript file in the format specified in the Author Guidelines. Additional files, such as supplementary materials, instruments, images, tables, or supporting documents, may be uploaded when applicable.

6. Review the Submission

Before completing the submission, authors should carefully review all entered information and uploaded files to ensure that they are complete and accurate.

7. Complete the Submission

After confirming the submission information, authors should finalize the submission through the OJS system. A confirmation notification will normally be provided after successful submission.

After Submission

After a manuscript has been submitted, it will undergo an initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the basic requirements and are within the journal's scope may proceed to the double-blind peer-review process.

Authors can monitor the status of their manuscripts through their OJS account.

Possible editorial decisions include:

  • Accept;

  • Minor Revision;

  • Major Revision; or

  • Reject.

Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer and editor comments.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during submission is accurate and complete. Authors are also responsible for responding to editorial and reviewer comments within the specified timeframe.

Submission of a manuscript to JPL: Jurnal Pengabdian Leuser indicates that the authors agree to comply with the journal's publication policies, ethical standards, peer-review procedures, copyright policy, and other applicable editorial requirements.
